I am going to upgrade to CS5 (well already bought it just not loaded yet).

I have used CS3 for years and I use Adobe Bridge.

I shoot in RAW then process through Bridge then open in CS3

Does CS5 have a RAW converter? Or will I need to use Bridge? (the reason I ask is because CS5 is going on a new computer in my studio)

The converter is ACR, Adobe Camera Raw. Bridge has nothing to do with it, and never has. Bridge is the browser. When you open RAW with Bridge, it goes to ACR, and then from there you go to CS-whatever. That has not changed. You CAN direct Bridge to open in other converters, and you CAN direct ACR to export the finished image elsewhere than PS I believe, but I've never done any of that. I do have Bridge set up to open JPG files in ACR as well as the RAW files, because I like pre-processing in ACR, but that's just me...

And the ACR converter with CS5 is far superior to the CS3 version, Adobe really have upgraded it.

There are quite a few new features in CS5 that you may also like. Content aware fill and content aware healing are perhaps the most useful upgrades. I was a bit of a nay sayer to begin with, but have found now that as I have learned better how to use it, that it's a huge time saver.
