Photograph your favorite landscape scene...

I would like it. Landscapes and wild animals are my favorite subjects.
John, I really like your photos for sale. What are you using to print out the larger images? (I think I want a server now....)

I don't know what the company uses to print those with... That is a service that I subscribe to. I can't print larger than 13x19 on my own printer...

They use photo processing on all of their images. I joined, even though I don't think I have anything I would want to sell, just yet. I have a freind who has been looking at this type idea for some time. Pretty Cool!

I framed a nice 8x10 of a sunset on a dock I took the first week I had my camera... What's max print size do you think I'd be able to get from my Powershot G2 anyway? I dont really plan on printing too much above 8x10, since it seems to get sort of expensive once you go beyond that.

Optimum printing for these photographic prints is 300 dpi -- you can usually get away with 200. I usually crop and border my images to make the file the exact dimensions of the print so there's no cropping, resampling, or distorion (typical example). For an 8x10, make your final file 2400x3000 pixels.

200dpi works quite well for me... I'm not sure about a 4mp image from the G2... I can get 225dpi out at 9x12 with my sony. I would feel confident that you can get 200dpi at 8x10 with no trouble. You could also resample up a little if you needed to without much loss...
