I don't wish this to sound self-serving, but I've started a new photography blog.

Its called "Living Among Landscapes!" and it's primary purpose is to document my photo safaris as they happen.

For those interested in such things, you can see it here:

Living Among Landscapes!

I actually created this months ago and have uploaded a number of example posts that you can review.

The reason I mention it now is because I'm about to go on my very first photo safari where I will document my photography while I'm on the road.

Some of you may find it amusing to follow my misadventures. I can assure you, based on experience, that what actually happens will not match my expectations. LOL!!!

Its a Wordpress blog that you can sign up to receive an email sent instantly every time I upload a posting. I suspect it will be humorous to follow these postings as they occur.

I suggest that, because of bad email formatting, that you always click the email link and read the posting on the blog itself. It will look a lot better.

Here is the official agenda for this first little 4-day safari:

1-Jordan Craters
2-Wildflowers in the Owyhee Uplands
3-The tri-state marker for Oregon-Nevada-Idaho
4-Fly Geyser and the Black Rock Desert
5-Reno for a Texas Hold'em poker tournament or two! :)
6-The tri-state marker for California-Nevada-Oregon
7-Fort Rock
8-Crack-in-the-ground
9-The Christmas Valley Sand Dunes

I'm pretty sure that most of you have never heard of any of these places except Reno. :)

However, I can assure you that each and every one is a worthy photo subject.

The weather is not promising so I may not get to the more difficult places to access. Some require many miles of difficult wilderness travel.

I've been delayed months on much more extensive photo safaris I've already planned. Hopefully, those will come soon.

This will be my first real blogged safari. :)

nice blog. great shots of the hoodoos. I'd love to go see something like that.
btw, are you the one that people thought was lost in the desert a few years ago?

Surely you jest!

I'm WAY to smart, talented and good looking to be that pathetic guy. ;)

Ya see! This is how conspiracy theories get started.

One person asks an innocent question about a fictitious event... then another vehemently "confirms" it... and then rumors of truth and denial become rampant within the lexicon of American urban legend.

And the next thing you know, it will all be blamed on space aliens.

Its a vicious circle.

I enjoyed your blog. I signed up and commented but my stupid auto-correct featured "smartphone" turned the word "going" into "goof". I love it when technology plots to make us look like idiots.
