I know its too late (admins) but next time you can get more entries if you include us Canadians in this challenge since the Canada Day and 4th of july celebrations are always close. Just saying!

I suspect the dates might be changed to allow entries from the past couple of nights. Many fireworks displays are already finished.

Think outside the box...

Know anyone without all of their fingers?

So lets have a "fireworks speed challenge" challenge starting the 5th; this would level things around.
How about on Bastille day?

No, it should start 5th November, Guy Fawkes Night!

NO. all through the month of August. Plenty of fireworks festivals in Japan then.

Ours were Friday night for Columbus (the really big ones over the river) and then last night for the town we live in. I am not even sure where I could go to see fireworks tonight other than in peoples backyards.

We went Penns Landing fireworks over the Delaware River Saturday night. There's the big Philadelphia one (at the art museum) tonight, but I try to stay away from that one (too crowded, too expensive with parking & bridge toll, etc.). In Jersey, they've pretty much cancelled fireworks in most townships due to finances. In our county there are only 3 towns with fireworks tonight, and they'll all be small displays hardly worth the drive for.

New years eve is the only night you can legally have fireworks here in Germany.. without special permission... However I didn't see the words "Legal Fireworks" mentioned in the challenge descriptions.

Phooey, our fireworks aren't until next Saturday. Our small town doesn't like to compete with the big city on the 4th, so we wait till the following weekend.

I agree with SaraR it should be on 5th November for Guy Fawkes Night, that's the real fireworks night!

I'm sorry. I would have loved to have seen your fireworks. Hopefully it will stop in time...or you could get a squirrel to hold a sparkler. ;-)

Fireworks in a couple of hours here. Hope to get something good! Never shot fireworks before, but have some lightning shots. Hope it's close to the same thing. :-)

I won't be able to take the shot I envisioned as I couldn't find any, however if someone else wants to run with the idea great.

Fireflies, one on a finger and/or in the sky a field, etc. title something like natures fireworks.

Would be awesome to see something, different, in this challenge. :)

Good luck to all those entering and Happy 4th!

Been there, done that. They almost burnt the house down, so I banned them from sparklers 2 years ago. :)
