Absolutely makes sense. Just with all the hype that has surrounded the potential announcement today, one couldn't help getting just a bit excited (as opposed to exited!) Gives me longer to save up anyway :)

I'm pretty happy with the D7000. It's the camera that I always wanted. I feel like I'm all set for a long time.

No announcement was good for me....I usually buy something and then the next best thing comes out a short time later. At least now I know my D700 is the best Semi-pro Nikon available....or NOT available...they seem to be hard to get these days !
