Well at least they credited you!

"Original photo by Bob Martuch on Flickr"

That's more than most do.

Gee they must have missed that "all rights reserved" notice on Flickr right next to the image when they took it.

"TTC station naming rights are officially up for grabs"

Apparently you missed the memo that so are the rights to your work......

But no, seriously, how rude of them. =(

pretty damn turdly not to ask you first - especially since he edited it!

Yes, at least you got credited...unlike my photos which people just post when they want. The credit would have had more impact though had they not edited your original. That's pretty low if you ask me.

With that said...at least they not only credited you, but the link takes the reader to your actual photo on Flickr so they can see the original rather than have no link included or one that takes the reader only to your main page where they would have to search your entire photostream to find the image.

I like how it's the perfect picture for the article. Like you somehow knew they'd need that eventually. :-)

Great shot, good use of it. Would be nice if they'd pay you for it!

I recognize that. Damn. Photographers need a union lawyer or something, sheesh.

Vey nice photo. Appropriate for the article. I guess the credit of your name is an invitation for an invoice? Send them one.

I'm impressed Bob. Your work is being noticed!

Read the article. You should send them a letter saying that you will call off your lawyers if they name one of the subway stations "Bob" in your honor.
It looks like they have a pretty good budget, so it may be worth a shot to send them an invoice. Get the image registered if you haven't already.

Ask them if it's ok if you copy their blog page and put your name in there instead, and of course link back to their site as a courtesy :)

Maybe you should just register the image, wait to see if they use it for a lot of the advertising, then send them an inovice.
