I don't want to start another political thread, though I'm watching the other one with great interest.

I would like to start a picture only thread of protests of any time frame or location. I love the emotion and unity, I love the candid nature, and I love the signs.

No political discussion, just pics please.

I'm a supporter of gay rights, and have been active in that to a point......I have some nice shots.....



And some *really* ugly ones.....

Pittsburgh hosted the G-20 Summit back in 2009, and that gave us a treasure trove of photographic opportunities. I visited several of the protests and came away with a lot of shots I really liked. I don't know what some of the people were protesting, but I could tell that many of them were strongly against showering. Phew!

In hindsight, I could have made a killing if I had opened up a street corner vending business for megaphones. I would have been rich!



And then there's the group of geniuses from the Westboro Baptist Church. I saw them just prior to the Super Bowl in Dallas this year:
