Someone on my volleyball team tried to mess with me by signing me up for some sex-toy thing via the internet. Basically he just put my email address into the website and let it do its thing. I am VERY upset by this and would love to get some revenge on his email.

My question is this... Is there a way that I can put his email into something that will make tons of spammers flood his email?

I understand that this is not nice but he did it just to try and get me to mad. And well, I am mad. He asked for it so I believe that he gets what he wants, which is a reaction from me.

Thanks in advanced.

P.s. - If you plan on telling me to not get revenge then I wouldn't bother.

i would just use his email on a bunch of porn sites. gay porn, if that's not his thing.

not really fun, but effective. sure he'll get lots of spam.

Heh! I was just watching one of my new favorite shows last night called Revenge. I thought this might be a thread about the show. If you want real revenge, watch it, you might learn something. ;D

Don't sink to his un-creative level, take it to the next level.

Forge a document from the school/local health department about the positive test results he had for several nasty venereal diseases. Send it to the volleyball coach.

There are all sorts of wonderful possibilities, don't limit yourself to email!

This looks good to me.

Time to google what these documents look like.

Thanks!

Have you thought about talking about it to someone else, in front of him where he can hear, about turning him in for identity theft. That should shoud have him thinking about it. Or really turn him in, he won't do it again.

Eta - Wow, that's a lot of 'abouts'. From HTC 4 G

Is this the same young man who had a massive attack of conscience when another student he knew unloaded on him about getting a girl pregnant? And he told him he needed to be accountable? This revenge thing is guaranteed to bite you if you indulge the impulse.

What Jeb said: it's hard to square your desire for revenge and your apparent willingness to really stick it to the other guy with the position you were taking earlier vis-a-vis your errant roommate. You DO have another cheek, right...?

I would have to agree with both NikonJeb and Bear_Music in this regard that revenge could have some very negative results.

If indeed you are positive that he is the culprit, simply report him to the authorities at the college and let them deal with it. I do realize that some of the suggestions made here are in jest, but to follow through could have you face criminal charges.

Just my two cents.

What they said. Don't do anything stupid or illegal. Just chill out, and deprive the jerk of the pleasure of seeing you squirm. Let him know that you will report if if he does it again.

Yup! One way of reporting it without reporting it is to walk into IT (I assume you need to change your email) and ask for a supervisor, and tell IT that someone released your email in order to flood you with spam.

There's a chance that IT will be more angry than you are, because this type of stuff is extremely obnoxious, and they shouldn't have to waste their time dealing with it. Maybe they might feel the need to do something about it.

That's your only logical choice if you want to do something without directly reporting it to more powerful powers that be.

If you start sinking to these people's levels, I'm seriously worried about the person you'll become. How will you react to the jerk that cuts you off when you're driving? Road rage?

Seriously. It's irritating, but it hasn't physically harmed you. And it's something that can be fixed. Did the guy act like an ass? Yes. Would you feel better if you reacted? yes. Does that make you an ass? Only if you react in a stupid way.

Personally, I don't believe in escalation. Because I don't want to see how far the asses will take something. I'd shrug it off and not let them see it get to me.

Change your email, then set up an email filter for the one he used and forward your entire spam folder contents to his email.

Or, report him as others have already mentioned.

Holy crap people.

Email is not life or death. It's not like I am going to fight the kid. I know the difference between physically harmful and just messing with his mind a little.

Like seriously, I'm not putting a gun to his head and telling him if he ever does it I will put a bullet in him.

Sure, I am mad... No, I am not homicidal.

Thanks for all the advice but never mind. I guess getting simple revenge on someone is life or death.

Yeah, sheesh, a bit of mental torture never did anyone any harm.

I'm pretty sure if he does it to me he can take it.
