**The 2012 internship was a great success! I'm thrilled to announce that I will be offering another internship this summer and am now accepting applications. This is an incredible opportunity to learn about running your own business and improve your photography skills, so please share this information with anyone you feel may be interested.
The intern will be paid a stipend and be provided with one-on-one photography tutorials throughout the summer. Their main duties will be to assist with the logistics of photoshoots and on location work.
Intern candidates should have a relatively flexible schedule allowing for 1-2 photoshoots per week (normally in the afternoon) and access to reliable transportation to my studio in downtown, Houston. The estimated date range for the internship is April 2014 - August 2014. This is an educational internship, so photographers with some experience but lots of room to grow would benefit the most from this experience.
To apply for the internship, send an email with the subject line "Summer Internship" to claire@clairemcadamsphotography.com. Please provide your full name and contact info and answer the following questions:
- What inspires you to pursue photography?
- What do you feel your current strengths and weaknesses are?
- What do you hope to learn from interning at my studio?
- Where do you picture yourself 5 years from now? How do you feel an internship at the studio would help you accomplish your goals?
- What tools are you currently using (camera, lenses, flashes etc.)? Is there any equipment in particular that you don't have access to that you would like to experiment with?
- What is your schedule like between April 2014- August 2014? The exact time frame for the internship has yet to be determined and will probably be customized to accommodate the schedule of the intern, so knowing conflicts and other commitments in advance is crucial.
In addition to answering these questions, pull 5-10 photos from your portfolio and describe what inspired you to create each photo. Also, tell me what you wish you could improve about each photo.
The application deadline is March 20th, 2014.

This sounds awesome... I just "watched" this thread... I may come back once I figure out what I am doing for the summer. When is the last day to apply? I live in FL and don't know anyone in or around Houston. So I would need to figure out something. But the dates seem right and it would be perfect for putting it on my resume!

| I'm taking applications until April 13th. It's definitely a job for someone local though, the stipend is good but it's not enough to live off of since it's only a couple of hours a week. |
