Just thunderstorms and potential hail on my side of the area. If I were at work today, I would be right near the tornando area. The tornado warnings are around the more northern part of the metroplex near the airport and away from me. Might be heading toward Bergiekat, but could totally miss her by the time it gets that far.

Best ya hunker down in the root cellar... assuming you have one. The best of luck to you and keep safe.

Hi kids....I have some curly damn frizzy hair, but that's the worst damage!! The tornado was about a block north of the office and we spent the afternoon in the stairwell!! Nothing major at the house, either. Lucky, lucky, lucky!!! Astonishing how devastating the damage is and there were few injuries and no deaths reported. Fantastic news, but omg, the mess.

All of you east, this is NOT a small storm! Take head and be on your toes. <3

Kat, have you heard from anyone else. It all missed us entirely. Just got some rain which is great considering how close we live to Arlington. Talked to the family and they are all fine. Downed Stephenville and Dallas but didn't get as far south as Cypress.

Been watching the news and am grateful how lucky we were today. Not such a fun birthday for Steve though.....

Having been transfixed by the news coverage of this event ever since it happened, forgive me, bergiekat, for howling out loud at your observation.

Oh, do keep that sense of humor. It comes in handy in times like this, doesn't it!

I watched the news on CNN... gave a new meaning to air mail delivery. It is absolutely amazing that as of early this morning the report said there had not been any fatalities.

The best of luck to all the DPCers in Texas.

Have not spoken to some of the other Dallas area peeps, but seems the further north it went, the bigger the hail and the lesser the tornados. Most of those in this area are further up north to my understanding. Steve and Elen were spared and I will try to contact some that I periodically speak to.

13 (preliminary right now) tornados touched down in N TX yesterday, stats on WFAA (lots of photos and video),. Found out one went right over our building, not just near. Ignorance is bliss, lol. Some nice stories about those helping others. Gotta love the human spirit and the concern and caring shown by complete strangers.

We were all very blessed yesterday. We are here!

So happy I managed to get out of DFW on Monday (already 48 hours after I was supposed to be home). I could still be there today...

I flew through but spent the night because of AA screwups.
