...and I am not talking about this guy.

Subject: post one or two photos which "you" think is an art... and maybe explain why you like them too much as arts.

I like those... because photographer created something basically from imagination only and took their photos.

There is a treasure trove of art/painting photos in Svetlana's ( Silverfoxx) portfolio.

maybe painting is not the correct word I am looking for. Think about this, you are imagining something, you gather stuff to create your subject... after you created your subject, you photograph it.

There are two things going on here, one is the imagination of your creation (your subject) and second is the photo of it (your composition, perspective of it)

I don't know what that is called, but that's why those samples for.

Sample #1:

Pretty much "staged" the whole thing...

vs.

sample #2:

even though this is also staged (most likely), it's from a regular life itself... a moment from a regular life.

they both photography, they both art, but one of them photographer had to create something basically from nothing, only using imagination.

I donno, maybe I just don't make any sense here.

Below samples they gave, woman are already looking pretty and beautiful, but can you create something pretty and beautiful?

These days all art galleries are sponsered by Alamy. The whole world looks like an advert for insurance cover. Or Hemorrhoid cream.

Pretty and beautiful? Created out of nothing. Is that what art is? Are you sure? "D

Our minds are not our own any more, we're overstimulated with information, entertained to the point of catatonia with a riptide of information & images. How do you know you're creating something pretty and beautiful out of nothing when it could just as easily be re-creating something you've already seen but forgotten? People are getting desperate to do something for the first time--the world's first fashion shoot in free fall happened recently when a model & a photographer sky-dived their way thru it.

ReDo,

Bring out photos that are staged, colorful and/or looks pleasing to eyes.

...how's that? they still are one kind of art. I am not arguing with the crowd what art is, just stick with the sample photos, let's see what you can come up with. I don't mean photos look like portrait painting by the way, even though they are also art in their own kind such as this one

How many "Arts" do you need?

Tension breaker! This thread was begging for this one.

There's a lot of stuff on my walls at home that doesn't really go together except that I like to look at it. That's about it for me.

Thanks for sharing this, Leo! I can only take credit for the execution part. Because the brilliant idea is originally from Chema Madoz. So, the credit for the "real art" part in this image should go to that genius. There are a lot more in that link I have shared.

Cheers!

I had a lot of fun playing around with a kind of impressionistic touch for a while....

Sorry, but Leo already answered my question before you could shut down the conversation. Good try, though.
