After Katrina in New Orleans, DPCers contributed talent and services to help restore damaged photographs for victims of that hurricane.
I think that was one of the best things that DPC has ever done. DPC did that as part of a larger effort organized by a Virginia newspaper photographer.
When you've lost everything, restored photographs might be the only thing that many victims will have left... and that is important. I found helping with that a very moving experience.
I was wondering if DPC is planning an organized effort to help restore family photos for victims of Superstorm Sandy?
If so... I'd like to help.

Awwww... thanks a lot, Beetle. I could not remember how the Katrina effort was organized.
I will volunteer my services with them. Perhaps others here will to.
