Gaƫlle and Sophie

Had to link to my daughter. This was taken in the Bahamas when we were on vacation when she was four months old. In two weeks she'll be a year.

What gorgeous babies!. Kevin, I really like the softness, but feel you need just a little more separation from the bg

Not sure what it looks like on your monitor -- could be a monitor thing. I've checked it on three or four screens and ipad and all have good separation.

I'm looking on my phone, but those are stunning.

Top-notch work. Can't get any better than this. Do you have any close-up ones too?

Nice work. Looks like an umbrella catchlight but the rest looks like natural light and with the shallow dof I am curious as to your lighting?

You're right about the key light. The setup is detailed here... //photosfromdad.com/sophie -- scroll down to { The Picture } section.

A couple. I had a very specific view in my head that I was going for which is why they're all the same. I ended up getting that view and just wanted to capture a range of expressions after that.

Thank you. Really gret work with your lighting. Love how you made it seem natural with all studio lights.

Thanks, it's certainly something that's a bigger challenge in a larger room. Thankfully my bedroom isn't enormous so it's pretty easy to fill it up at f2.
