I know a few of you have been interested in a side challenge shooting a roll/week. Let's make it December (and January?).

I'm open for suggestions to give it some framework/limitations to stretch ourselves. Maybe a weekly photo essay/visual narrative? I know we have the film thread but a fresh, time limited, thread is useful and may grab a few new analog suckers.

If we go with the essay/visual narrative theme, I would like to see everyone contribute some ideas, or prompts, upfront. That way it can sink in and give everybody time to fit it in to the next 4-8 weeks.

Of course, I'm in!

analogue suckers taste great, like Nietzsche's lambs. But I've always toyed with the idea to enter dpc challenges in film rather than digital. Give me rules to bend, only it has to be in b&w, that I have control over.

I'm excited to see this SC. Count me in as an awed & enthusiastic audience member.

Lovely idea, however no go for me during December/January. Too busy at the weekends in December and during the week is too chaotic (not to mention dark!) I'll watch with great interest though.

If you'll accept a registered user, I'll give it a go. I've got a couple of cameras loaded with film that I should really get round to using soon.

If not, then I'll happily watch from the sidelines.

Kevin

update: I realised I've just reached my 10th anniversary here, so it's time to be a paid-up member this year.

Great! The kool-aid is worth the $25, but we would have taken you anyway.

Sarah, I like your topics. Dark. Chaos. Weekends. :)

Everybody up for attempting photo essays?

OK, I like a challenge Ben. I'll do my best to join in. Although it's -8C (17F) and snowing horizontally right now, so the motivation for going outside to shoot is missing at the moment:)

:) Now, help me convince Deb to borrow a camera.

I mailed her butt a film camera several years ago. So she should have one. (If not, I'll mail her another one...)

I'll be starting with this a Bilora Bella 66-IIa.

I've no idea if it works. Bought it at a car boot sale for all the change I had in my pocket = £4.95

It's got a roll of ADOX CHS100 B&W in it.

Just the other day a little Pentax 928, complete with manual, winked at me in a thrift shop. 5 little ones. Automatic everything almost, against all my lately acquired principles, but it can do double exposures. Actually multiple exposures but it warns against overexposure in all such cases with no remedial recourse.

The film is loaded.

Looking good!

Kevin, is that a 6x6?

I'm scanning film now. Get that thread up, Ben. We need the diversion.

And tnun is loaded.

Ben, indeed it is.

Please count me in as well. Even if I have no real idea how to do a proper photo essay. I've got a ton of film cameras here that I need to get going and tested, so this will be good motivation.

Will do.

Alex, can't say that I know. Should be fun.
