Hello JulietNN interested to hear how you now get on with the 7D as I know that you had many problems with it at first.
I had one and like you found the noise levels very poor at anything but the very lowest ISO.
I notice that many of your wonderful images are not taken with the 7D.
Thanks very much

All the last couple of years shots, have been taken with it, there are I think about 3 shots that where taken with the T3 as a test.

I also find the noise really terrible and would not recommend this camera, BUT and a HUGE but, I then it took it into the studio with lights and holy chocolate on dog's snot. Blew me away. Unbelievable shots, sharp, precise no noise at all even at a 400% zoom in, totally stunned me.

I am still having problem with noise at levels over 800 and forget about Automatic ISO, that just goes immediately to 3200 in what ever situation there is. Dislike it indoors as it is , for me a poor performance, completely inadequate compared to my 50D.

But studio lights , sunshine and reflector work, hands down stunning camera.

Where's the "Like" button? Oh yeah...

So then does anybody think the 60D is a better go than the 7D?

I wonder if it's a problem with only some of them ... I often shoot at very high ISO and find it performs very well noise wise .. mind you I do have to use topaz denoise if I go above 1000 but that's to be expected - just my experience with it. Or maybe I need new glasses ;p

I denoise everything, even at 400. :(

I am not sure what the problem is, but I have found I now tend to try to work with the noise or everything would look damn plastic after running it through denoise!

I have not tried the 60D But I can tell you that 50D was either a fluke of nature or the most amazing camera ever in ANY dark lighting situations.

In fact even cloudy days can be a bit iffy with the 7D, but again, studio lights holy banana's with green beans man..........

however indoors, studio, iso400
