Thanks. It's fun to see Lost's journey so far mapped out, and envision the remaining legs.

It seems that Lost likes blackberries...he's awfully good at getting the really low-hanging ones! Oddly he isn't eating them, at least not yet. Maybe he's saving them for a midnight snack.

It's been a busy couple of days but here's what Lost has been up to!

He quickly made friends with Lily, then Galena jumped onto the ledge to say hi too .

Then we went to the library and while I got some books I left Lost at an Internet computer. Hmm, wonder what he was researching?

Of course we had to stop and say hi to an old friend of mine, DelVista .

Lost likes a little nip every now and then, so that called for a stop at Blue Gypsy Wines to say hello to Louis and try some of their nummy blueberry wine. *hic*!

Then back home where after some more blackberry picking, Lost decided to have a nap outside in the nice cool breeze. Ahhhh...

At the forecasted pace, looks like Lost will be visiting NY past tourist season. Less waiting in lines then ;)
I've not done the touristy things so this way we'll both catchup but we're probably staying out of Times Square.

Sunday morning, and Lost is feeling adventurous. I promised to make pancakes for brunch, so he said he would go out and collect some berries. As I was headed for the shower I asked Galena to keep an eye on him

After awhile Lost hadn't returned and I got a little worried. Found him on the stepladder which he had leaned up against tree #3, looking for 'the tap in the tree'. Apparently he had seen this and thought that was how you got maple syrup!!! :-) I gave him a brief rundown on the process on the way back to the house.

Soon brunch was ready, so Lost tucked right into some fresh local strawberries, blackberries he'd picked this morning, pancakes, bacon of course, coffee, and naturally a big pitcher of maple syrup.

After that he was quite content to chill with Ryan and help with his metal detecting

Thanks all, glad that the Lost diehards are still out there! Adam, Lost seems to like all and any booze. He had me buy some vodka at the store the other day, then hurried off to the blackberry bushes afterwards. Hmmmm...

BTW all future Lost hosts, he does get up to some interesting activities in the middle of the night...

Later I woke up and found him sitting in the moon window admiring the full moon. Though half-asleep I managed to get the camera and shoot handheld:

Off to Smiths Falls now to see some sights and do a little shopping!

Make sure he gets some rest and start speaking some french to him as I will be taking him to Tadousac Quebec for a couple of days! It looks like Lost is keeping you busy!

Today's trip to Smiths Falls was interesting. Smiths Falls has a reputation as being an old biker town. My understanding is that in the 70s and 80s it was a popular hangout for the Hells Angels. I think it's cleaned up a bit since then, but there is always an aura of its bad ol past lingering around.

First things first, though, and I needed some more clothes for work, so went to my friend's thrift shop. I showed Lost how you can see through contemporary Canadian bills: How cool is that?

In my friend's store, of course I had to bring Lost into the changing room with me. Lost, you're not peeking, are you?

On the way back to the car I saw a gorgeous Harley-Davidson and, luckily, its owner on the sidewalk nearby. Soon Lost was sitting on his bike:

Then off to a nearby park/marina, where there is a cool plane that I've never photographed before. (Lost is on the fence near the bottom left corner of the plaque).. By now it was getting quite warm so we wandered over to where some kids were playing in a little paddling pool. Ashlyn is holding Lost while her friend Arnold looks on.

Once we got home it was hot enough to break out the beer! Lost soon became enamoured with a local beer out of Vankleek Hill, Beau's Lugtread Lagered Ale He also liked the tractor on the bottle

This morning Lost had a surprise for me. He's been picking blackberries ever since he got here but rarely ever eating them. Then in the middle of the night I caught him stirring a cauldron, and most of a pint of vodka mysteriously vanished.

This morning the mystery was finally solved... annnndd *drum roll* eh wala! The little guy made blackberry jam and blackberry liquer! He is leaving me the larger of the two bottles and was even smart enough to put the blackberries, which had been steeping in vodka and sugar, into the jam :-)

I have to leave for work, so Lost has settled down for the day with a book.

OMG now he's even brewing his own booze, hahaha how cool is that!

He likes wine too. A few bottles of those seem to have evaporated while he was visiting me :)

DPC has warped his fragile little mind

Yep, our li'l Lost likes his booze! There are some songs that he knows all the lyrics to, which I learn as we drive around with the radio on. He really, really likes George Thoroughgood's 'One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer'!!! But he also likes that Coldplay song,I think 'Yellow' where the refrain is 'I was Lost, I was Lost' though his version of the lyrics is 'I am Lost, I am Lost'.

Oh yeah, here's a shot of him with my good buddy Dave, a rustic sculptor and handyman. I think he wanted to paint Lost.

Well, he (Lost, that is ;-)is stuck with me for the weekend, and there's somethin happening in a nearby town, so we should have some fun...

Susan, you are setting the bar so high (no pun intended) with your array of activities for Lost. You think maybe by the time he gets to Cape Cod he'll be ready to slow down for us old folks!

This is my way of saying that I am really enjoying your pictures. Great job!
