Well we don't drink here at our house, but he will get to enjoy some local made Root Beer. And of course the required "Selfie" with the photographer.

Awww I miss him. I've had so many people ask me where he is now. Looks like he's having a good time!

Me too! You have any idea how many blackberries I'm having to scarf down right now, now that the little guy isn't around to make em into booze?! ;-)

ETA @ MattO - good job of drying him out, he probably needed it :-)

I'm still adding photos but here is my

Lost in Ohio album.

Lost met a lot of people and just kind of hung out with me doing everyday ordinary things :)

Tonight we took Lost on a "Cake Hunt" which is very popular in the area right now. St. Louis is Celebrating 250 years as a city. So they have placed "cakes" all over the area at historic places, interesting places, important places. And you go around seeing new things and taking photos with them. Tonight we visited Mastodon State Park in Imperial MO and then a really old historic town by the Mississippi river called Kimmswick. Cakes were at both places and we showed Lost a good evening. We even took a few family photos that we put on the SD card in his camera so he can remember his time here with us.

Tonight we took Lost to see the Mississippi River. No visit to St. Louis area is complete without seeing the Muddy/Mighty Mississippi. We also let him experience something a lot of visitors and locals get to experience. We let him get mugged for the first time.

Good to see Lost having such a fun time, and the cake hunting thing looks like an absolutely brilliant idea. What a great way to promote local tourism!

I took several of Lost today on our outing, but tonight he helped me shoot an American Legion Zone Tournament Championship game for the newspaper. After the local team won, he had to have a photo taken with some of the local talent.

Here is one of Lost with me, he enjoyed shooting the D4 and 400MM F2.8 but did complain that that it was a bit big for him to handle, and I explained to him that size does matter in sports.

That's 10 days so far, Matt.... does he live with you now, or will you send him on some day?

Considering how long he spent with others I'd say I'm well within the established time limits for having him. However I'll be happy to send him along as soon as we are ready to say our goodbyes. I didn't realize you were the Lost police.

Good lord this is suppose to be fun, considering some folks let him sit for months and not go on, I'd think since I'm showing him a good time I'd be entitled to do so. Heaven forbid we get to enjoy this.....

I'll send him along on Monday.

Yikes, Matt... I do believe that response was a lot snarkier than necessary.

And yet, I will take the time to answer the PM you sent me in a civilized, calm manner, and NOT take your bait in here.

The'lost'effect. .

This is all about fun and also about charity for under privileged children so the important thing is to enjoy it, sadly this is taking a lot longer than planned but as said before, a lot of people including the postal service had kept Lost longer than agreed.

The good and positive thing is that he is still on the journey and had many new friends.

"MAK", that was a very sensible response ... well done.

MAK I'm still not sure why the comment was made towards me by Karin, but rest assured LOST will be on his way to the next person in line on Monday when the Postal service opens. I apologize if I kept him longer than I was suppose to, however it was a lot less time than 90% or more of the people who had him and none of them were called out publically.

Look away, MAK, Sami Khedira has lowered his wage demands and may now be within the A budget.

Matt, I do not have a problem with it in any way whatsoever, I am delighted that you have made the extra effort to take him out with you and introduce him to children, Thank you so much.
The worse thing is if you had just kept him sat in the box and done nothing with him at all, but I am delighted to see that certainly was not the case.

Regards..

Raish - That is also very delightful news for an Arsenal fan like myself

With our final day with Lost before he leaves us tomorrow we took him to the pool to have a party. Some of the kids took selfies with him(with my help) and he swam with some other well known friends of the family, Buddy and Pippa have a long history with my wife's side of the family. Don't ask it's just too weird. LOL

Also on Saturday we took him to our families favorite BBQ joint for lunch. My son tried to catch him some fish(his favorite) on the iPad but he settled for Pork, Fries, and Corn.

MattO, I didn't want that series to end. Priceless pictures. I hope every one of them makes it into the final book.

Thank you, we had a great time with Lost and he will be missed by us. It was something as a family we will always remember doing together. Tonight before we packed him for his journey we said our goodbyes. Forgive the quality my iPhone 5 isn't the best camera we own. :) My son is genuinely sad that Lost is leaving tomorrow, and I know I'll miss him as well. But he has more friends to make and places to see.

Matt, those final pictures of Lost with your son especially are very poignant. I can see your boy will miss him.

That's a great contribution to the work-in-progress, Matt. Well done!

Lost was expected today....But my mailman is less than desirable as a mailman....I am sure he will be here tomorrow

I suspect your mailman has abducted Lost and is molesting him as we speak. That said, my fears are often unfounded and more reasonable explanations prevail.
