I'm just about to send these to the printers but i thought i'd get some feedback first. Basically, they are cards to leave with potential clients, bridal wear shops etc and, when i get round to doing them, wedding fairs. I'm going for a selection of three sizes - A6, A5 and a tall one. I've tried to keep a consistent design through all of them and my website with the two coloured circles being my adaptable logo. The original font i used on the logo wasn't really working on the cards so i changed the font on the site to suit. I've kept them as simple as possible -description-website-number. I'm thinking of getting the A5 and Tall ones in very nice, textured card with the A6 on a thicker but more standard silk card. As it is these are front and back (i.e three types of card) but i'll probably split the designs to use on their own as well later-perhaps in a more postcard way with a black side to write on.

Anyway, any thoughts are appreciated as always...

A6 -

A5 -

Tall -

I like the one on the bottom-left, looks very elegant.

Not sure about doing it double-sided though. Firstly if you leave the back blank you can write estimates or other info on it when you hand it to the client. Second, when I'm looking for a card, I recognise it based on the colour/design, if I had that card facing the wrong way in a pile I might miss it. Finally, the shot on the back of the last card is a bit 'grey' looking.

Good points. I might have another look at the quotes for them one sided (perhaps laminated). I see what you mean about the last one looking grey. Does seem a bit dingy compared to the others. Also, for some reason that one reminds me of a kind of tourist leaflet. I'll try and change that one. The tall ones are much harder to find suitable images for as i'm very much a landscape oriented kind of photographer. Can't find many of my shots that suit.

Yea, i see what you mean. It was from an engagement shoot but perhaps i should stick to the wedding shots.

Cheers for the advice guys. Great stuff.

nice idea. maybe consider laminating the front and leaving some room (maybe 2/3 image, 1/3 blank) to jot notes on the back. maybe leave the back blank on the tall one, or maybe just include a few points (but not much).

+1 The dress photo is awesome. Leaving that one blank on the back for comments and etc works as the front side shot is so powerful. I think pairing it with the balloon shot could diminish it's impact.

My favorite of the other is also The others are fun but they don't speak to me as much as these two.

Thanks for all the great advise guys. It's very much appreciated. I decided to split the order so i could see the quality of the paper and get a paper sample book. So, for an initial order i got 2500 of the double sided a6 cards. These have arrived now and are quite nice. The standard 350g matt paper is pretty good and i think it'll do for leaving in many places which are not top end.

I'm going to take your advice for the next order. I'll do the tall wedding dress one next and just do it one sided with some text on the back but leaving room for people to write on. I'm trying to decide whether to follow Skips advice and have the picture side laminated or go for some really nice paper. I think this card will be really suitable for the bridal wear shops and top end venues (although i'll leave the other cards as well). It'll be more expensive but worth it i think. There are some really nice papers in the sample book and one, called Avorio, looks like it will really suit the image. It's a lovely silk paper with a slight creamy colouring.

I'll also choose one of the A5 images for a single sided run and the next batch of A6 i'll probably do one sided as well.
