Every so often a decent shot is turned into a great shot by getting the timing just right.

50 shots where the timing is perfect.

Good collection. Some are serendipity, but others are clearly no accident. The bird making off with the ice cream cone might be my favorite.

Some good hoots and giggles in that one, Brennan.

The guy on the daggerboard of the Hugo Boss yacht, that one was an advertising shoot for HB, who sponsored that boat. I saw video of the making of that commercial, hysterical. VERY wet model, MANY reshoots :-)

ETA: Found it!

Happened to me once.

I tried to catch it by anticipating the strike, did not know how else to capture it.Ttook about 12 images, two came out very nice.
What a feeling when you see the image afterwards.

Hmm. That looks stupid fun! Wish I knew someone with a racing yacht (for various reasons)...

#47 still cracks me up. Talk about photobombs - I think that's one of the best ever!

And #30 is just simply amazing.

Well, you know someone (me) that USED to have a racing yacht, if that helps? :-)

ETA: talking about boats and extreme conditions, check out this video of a warship plowing through some VERY heavy weather/seas :-)

USED to is still pretty extraordinarily cool. ;) Not helpful in terms of doing stupid cool stunts, or photographing stupid cool racing yacht stunts, still cool.

As for the video, it's amazing the forces a modern warship can withstand isn't it?

By the way, 7, and 31 are my favorites!

Thanks for sharing, Brennan. Amazingly cool shots. I really like the one of Barack Obama. (And many others.)

Oh my goodness! That video of the warship made my breath catch. Magnificently terrifying to me; there's no possible way I could be on board and I greatly admire those who are.
