Congrats on taking the lead in the league - you guys have been climbing steadily. Now let's see if you can hold onto it!

Man, and if you do, you'll probably have to face those nudist ninjas known as the Naked Pedestrians. ;) Undefeated for 5 weeks, and a full roster every week - amazing performance so far. But watch out, there's some serious talent knocking on your door too!

Seriously though, congrats to all the teams, everyone really turned in a stellar performance this week, with all but one team reporting a full roster! WTG players!

Please. We all know the best team in the league is. Technicalities aside.

Wondering how tie-breakers work. Not trying to stir the pot, but I can't figure out why Team Flimflam (or whatever their name is) and Hocus Focus didn't tie this week.

Yeah, like that 4 person rule.

only the top 4 positions (percentile-based) count towards the team score.

Seems everyone is the beneficiary of a "technicality" from time to time. Funny how that would have worked out in Week 2 as well.

Dang, I had no idea. I thought it was straight head to head for the entire team.

Nope. That's how we've managed to get by with Ben on the team.

As a member of Team Fimmtan, I would like to thank you for your sincere fanaticism and worship of our team.

We, as you, agree it should have been a tie, but being as they only use top 4, we lost. But we'll take the .5... We've gotten it every week. It's like getting a participation ribbon in school. Awesome!

Thanks Garry, that's common knowledge, but I'll share some of the limelight with you guys because I'm such a polite horse.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to call a technical foul on that last pun.

30 mins in the penalty box.

I'll quit horsing around now.

I have a question.

Week #7 challenges have been announced and are in submission stage.
Week #6 challenges are in voting stage.

We won't know who the league champs are until after Week #7 results are in, which is after the finals week. So unless there's a week's pause, all teams in contention are forced to work on finals submissions, even though they may not be in the finals.

I guess I'm just looking for a way NOT to have to spend that extra week with my team, they are so annoying.

True, we've run out of use for Slippy the benchwarmer.

I'm almost positive that it was announced, way back when and before team play even started, that there would be a week's break between the end of the last week of competition and the "run-off" when the top team in each of the two leagues would "play" one another.

When you're almost positive, does that mean 99% sure, or 97% sure. :-D

2013 Team Photo League Rules

Team Photo League is a league-based competition between 6-photographer teams, contested within the established framework of DPC weekly challenges.

Teams will be divided into two leagues, and the leagues will compete independently of each other.

A “season” will consist of as many weeks as required for each team in a league to play each other team in that league once.

After the end of the season, the two league-winning teams will face off against each other after a 2-week hiatus to determine the Grand Champion.

Competition will take place in the three regularly-scheduled, weekly DPC challenges: currently these are the Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday challenges. Free studies and any special challenges will not count in this competition. If in any given week one or more of these three challenges is not held by DPC, then the competition will utilize whichever official challenges ARE run that week.

Team scores will be determined by the 4 best scores by team members that week. A team member may only contribute one score per week.

The winning teams get 3 pts per matchup, and the losing team gets 0 pts. In the unlikely event of a tie (team averages identical in a weekly matchup) each team will receive 1 pt that week.

A team whose 6 members all make entries in a given week will receive a 0.5 pt bonus for that week win or lose.

If fewer than 4 team members contribute an entry in a given week, the team will receive 0 pts towards its average for each player fewer than 4 to compete.
