That was awesome to watch!

Of course, it's a good thing that the people were actually entertained and it looks like it gave them a smile for the day:-)

that girl sitting on the polar bears was cool, and the superhero guy.

I didn't see much that would be hard to do.

Mounting the darn monitor and setting up the communications rig would have been the hardest part by far.

Frankly, the PS work was.. OK...

It would have been more amusing if it wasn't done as a PS thing for them to watch, but rather just to make them appear in the ads, such that it wasn't quite so obvious. Dunno.. maybe I just like subtlety too much.

But in answer to the question? Heck yes I could do this - and probably better. All I need is a team and a bit of equipment. Oh, and Art would have done far better IMO. There wasn't even a single Godzilla in that video.

Exactly, I would really like to see Cory do that live, in fact I'd pay for a ticket to see it live and done that quickly.

It wouldn't actually be that hard. The scene doesn't change so they can shoot a clean plate of the bench when it's empty and do a subtraction with real picture to get an instant mask. It won't be perfect, but still a lot faster to clean up the quick mask than to manually mask it each time.

As bhuge suggested, there is a very easy way to do this, but since they're hand holding the camera, that probably wouldn't work.

Topaz remask is another option, and it'd be what I'd use if I didn't just mount the camera to a fixed position.

It's stupid easy guys, really.

Besides, buses aren't exactly super fast to arrive usually.

Watch this for a demo of how fast this is. Remind yourself that buses usually are on 15 minute schedules.

Brother, get together a group, and let's make it happen - sounds like a fantastically fun way to make some cash to me - if you'd really pay for that, then maybe a bunch of other people would as well.

My biggest problem is being creatively challenged - doing it is easy, but who the fuck thinks of putting a girl on a polar bear? I'd REALLY feel uncomfortable with the wedding cake/kissy one.

Wouldn't movie posters and that sort of thing be more fun? Make it slick, like it's not just someone fooling about with Photoshop?

*shrug* Mostly I just give the guys a ton of respect for getting out there and doing it - that's the thing they've got that I don't.

I think that would be fun. There would be lots of ways to go with that prank.

Would he have a whole day to cherry pick the easy ones to mask? I bet if you posted simliar photos shown in the video and let everyone take a crack at it you'd be surprised at how fast some would be at knocking out the background. The tools of today have made it pretty easy to do that.

What a fun video! I'd love to do that!
