I have just served as a jury member on the Alt-Jury for the art challenge.

First such job I had a chance to participate in. It was a bit harder than anticipated, but such a privilege to work with the other DPC'ers.

I would like to see more of these actions happening.

The jury's have been assembled around the arty challenges, as there are quite a few members with a passion for art around. Why don't the nature-lovers [I'm one of them] get a nice challenge announced, and get that challenge juried as well?

Is there anybody that wants to run with this idea?

Like the idea, if it is truly. A wildlife photo, not a zoo one also if it shows the environment as well.
Edited to say that the image title should have the name of the country as part of it. Every country has some sort of. Wildlife.

There isn't much wildlife growing in a city but I'd shoot the challenge somehow. And it would be okay to have it juried but if I were voting or collaboraating, I'd still be looking for/talking about the art in the entries.

I like the idea of having it juried. You would be surprised how much wildlife there is in a city look for it at dusk and early mornings. Owls ,mice etc

The way a nature image attacks me emotionally has a strong bearing on my comments, and marks as well. There are other important aspects though, which can be explained by the experts, and help us snappy snipers when we do the wild thing with our camera's.

I would not like you, Lynn, to ever change the wonderful way you see, take and think about images, but would like to share the learning experience I had with other DPC'ers outside of the art fraternity.

A Pure wildlife requirement would necessitate a lifting of the time constraint to say - the past 6 or 12 months. I like that.
