Is that potato?

I've been on a mission to find the BEST potato vodka... Your input would be appreciated (assuming you might have some knowledge here!)

My microbiology professor asked me the same question once (about polish potato vodkas I mean). I'm not a big fan of potato vodkas (I used to drink rye vodkas: Belvedere or Sobieski). Anyway from what I know: Chopin is good when you want to spend more money, Luksusowa when you want to spend a little less. My professor really enjoyed Luksusowa.

my neighbor brought out a bottle of 44 latitude, blueberry i think. it was good.

of course we were shoveling snow so any alcohol would have tasted good.

I was a big fan of Karlsson's Gold potato vodka when I was a vodka-drinking bear. It's filtered only once, unlike the current in-group of highly-filtered vodkas, and it has a tremendous, earthy finish to it. It's not cheap, but it's not unearthly expensive either. 33 Bucks a bottle I think. Imported from Sweden.

Well, on this note, if you're looking for a super clean, amazing vodka, Tito's Handmade is pretty off the charts, and it's fairly cheap as well...

I'm just looking for the ultimate potato vodka as a bit of a hobby... (I do that, love to go through the list and find my favorite!) That Karlsson's sounds pretty good - Chopin is boring I know that for sure, however I might go for some Luksusowa...

That was my go-to brand from the day I found it to the day I packed away my drinking tools :-) Outstanding vodka, outstanding value.

I think this may be a good choice 21.gif Cory. It was definitely approved by my Irish microbiology professor and her 90 year old grandpa - and the Irish are supposed to know their potatoes (no offense to the Irish. Poles are big on potatoes too.)

Did you mean this 21_F.gif skewsme? Definitely not my thing. But I know many people who like it.

Yum indeed, funny thing, grass flavored vodka is probably the best flavored vodka I've ever had. This one looks exceptional..

Alas, i'm stuck in poor downtrodden Ottawa, seat of the Canadian government. What could i possibly do for a political image.... ;p

You could always take a photo of someone with their hand in someone else's pocket... that my dear is the purest example of politics at its' best. :O)

Ray

I think i might do that, and i'll title it "Politics: RayEthier Style"

while it's apparent that I didn't submit this entry, it's due to a lack of usable models - none of my friends were willing to pose with either their hand in someone else's pocket or someone's hand in theirs. my wife just laughed and said "i'm smart enough to not stick my hand in your pants, money or no" and walked away.

...can`t say the same here.

The "whooshing" sound I often heard upon entering the house was my spouse emptying my pockets... quite adept at that she was. No need to do that with the advent of ATM cards, computers and the like.

As much as a puppy dog loves to lick and a lifeguard hates to swim, that's how much!
