Beat your yearly challenge tally 2014!

This year has been my most productive regarding the number of entries in a single year since I started here almost ten years ago! I�m aiming for 100 challenges entries for the year and should make it!

For 2014 I want to beat this and would like to see other members join me in this side challenge and enter more challenges then your most productive year! It doesn�t have to be 100 just set a target above your most productive year!

Just let me know in this thread if you�re up for this challenge and what your goal for 2014 is. I will put you on the list and update your progress at the end of each month.

Any quick way to count your entries per year? Or would I just have to manually count?

Not sure if there is an easier way I'm sure the guru's here will be able to tell us. I just copied it to an excel spreadsheet and manually counted.

Allan just a quick look and I think your best is 88 in 2008!

Put you down for 90 in 2014?

Yeah, 2008 I was based in Adelaide, South Australia, a very photogenic area. There's no way I'd ever manage that... :(. My target now is to try and get my average over 6.000. V difficult given the number if challenges I've already entered. Quality rather than quantity are going to have to be my drivers..... Last 3 yrs have been a bit of a drought for me as far as DPC has gone, I've focussed ( no pun intended ) on a book and exhibitions which I've thoroughly enjoyed. I still really enjoy DPC, but tend to be a bit more picky about the challenges I enter...

Well I have no problem beating the number of submittance than in my best year. I challenge myself in a 7+ and first ribbon. When that goal is achieved, I'll set a new one.

Hmmm ok but how about you look at what you have done so far. You have 6 entries in a month so that should equate to 72 for the year! So what do you think about 70 entries for the year?

errmmmm...

I've entered 144 challenges so far this year, and it's been one of my LAZY years. I have no idea what my high-water mark is, but it's certainly over 150... So, as far as "beating my yearly challenge" goes, that's sort of business-as-usual, it's not actually a GOAL. But I'll tag along as an eminence grise and encourage everyone else, how's that? :-)

I'm at 49 and likely will finish there because the final FS will fall in 2014. I will add a dozen, one for every month. So 61 is my goal!

If you put the data (challenges-entered list) into a spreadsheet you should be able to just look at the last line number ...

Bear_Music your most prolific year was 2012 with 164 challenge entries surprisingly that was ten more then

GeneralE which was his most prolific year!

I have put you both down for 165 for 2014 so we have a ding dong battle of the heavyweights at the top!

2010: 3 my first year
2011: 113
2012: 92
2013: 96 so far

hard to beat my best year but, why not? I can lose graciously.

165/52=3.17 -- that means entering every weekly challenge plus assorted free studies and speed challenges ... not sure I want to commit to that!

Overall, I've entered about 1250 of 1850 challenges (not all of which I was eligible for), so something between 100-120 seems a more reasonable goal.
