Well, no, you could just buy the 10-18 for $799 and you'd only be spending $999.

And you can adapt existing SLR lenses with a $50 adapter.

But some people are reporting getting cancellations already...which was one possibility, given they are not responsible for errors on their website.

I have not yet.

Yeah, except I'd probably be more likely to be going telephoto than wide-angle, and I don't have any (well one Nikkor 28-80mm) SLR lenses to adapt. But I wasn't really thinking of getting one, just making a point I guess. Doesn't mean it isn't a great deal for someone with lenses and disposable income. :-)

Well if you want tele, and you don't want to spend a lot, the FZ1000 is your baby.

Note, though, had you been on top of things:

None of these errors are showing up on those sites any more :( I once ordered an LG 55" OLED TV from Amazon for $1200 - they cancelled it citing out of stock.

Canon T5 w/18-55mm lens, 55-250mm lens, and 75-300mm lens on Woot. I don't know Canon, but they claim that these are between 33% to 45% off list prices.

Olympus has some refurbished 12-40 f/2.8 and 40-150 f/2.8 lenses for cheaper than eBay. The 12-40 comes up from time to time (this is how I got mine), but this is the first time they've had the 40-150. They won't last long.

I don't shoot Canon and I don't know about the quality of this lens, but here is a Samyang SY14M-C 14mm F2.8 Ultra Wide Angle Lens for Canon for only $269.99.

The same lens for other brands such as Nikon, Olympus, and Pentax are also on sale, just not quite the same discount. They still seem to be bargains for f/2.8 lenses if they are decent quality.

I have one, it's nice. Not stellar quality, but pretty dang good.

A few of my recent examples.

I don't have one, but their reputation is that they're very sharp and great for astrophotography, but the build is poor enough that when they eventually break, you just throw it away. I have a Samyang fisheye for my Olympus, and I'm very happy with it, especially given the price I paid.

I think this is a good price for the product. I have one and it is really handy when it comes to walk with not many gudgets!

Today's B&H DealZone Deal:

Lensbaby Special Edition Spark 50mm f/2 Selective Focus Lens for Canon EF Mount Cameras

$59.95 ($129.95 on Amazon)

I'm on the fence on this one. I've always wanted to play with a Lensbaby, but I've had so little time for photography lately, and I'm really tight with my dollars. It's not like I don't have the $60, the question is, do I want to part with it for something that may get very little use?

Ha, I needed a couple small items from BH anyway, so I grabbed one of these. I think it will probably see limited use, but the creative potential is high. What convinced me to pop for it is:
- It's the f/2 version
- It has the doublet optics

ETA: I guess I need to up my daily dose of Beano... my G.A.S. is not completely under control!

Ive been thinking about a f/2 lensbaby for my 50mm when i make my next purchase.
cant do anything for a little while, but for a creative portrait lens, i really like the bokeh filter option in these

I had the Spark (the f/5.6 version). IT was fun for a little bit, but then sat in my bag unused.

The worse thing was that it hurt my eyes to use. Looking through the viewfinder with that type of blur was not a pleasant experience.

The results also didn't really mesh with my shooting style, so I sold it.

Yeah, I just watched a video review/demonstration. I don't think I'd use it much at all. I'm going to save my $60 for something I might actually use.

But for those inclined, $60 is a super bargain.

I've been thinking about getting a fisheye lens for the fun of it for awhile. At 51% off, I couldn't pass this up.

Rokinon Fisheye Lens for Nikon for only $220.99

They have versions for Canon, Pentax, and Sony Alpha as well for slightly more. This is the new version with the removable lens hood.

Better hurry! When I ordered the Nikon version the website said that they have only 17 left.

I think the Rokinon you posted is a newer, nicer version, but I got the Opteka 6.5mm for my Canon, and there's a Nikon version, too. It's only $150, but the hood isn't removable and you don't get any exif data:

//www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KGE4VS2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01

I think I read somewhere that the Rokinon, Samyang, Vivitar and Opteka fisheyes are actually all the same lens.

Thanks! Though not from Nikon but for Canon, we dont have auto focus fisheye for Canon beside Canon's version (very expensive)? I got Rokinon 8mm manual focus one and it's a good lens but I miss auto focus feature ;)

Then you might have gotten the last one for Nikon because the deal is gone...100% claimed.
