I received an email from my domain registrar today regarding a new domain extension i.e .photography
Anyone have any thoughts on this new extension and whether it is worth using? Seems like a very long extension!

at namecheap.com, you can get whatever.photography for 16.88/yr. or you could go for whatever.photos @ $121.88/yr.
.photography is a boatload of typing. then again whateverphotography.com takes a bit, as well. not much different than firstnamelastnamephotography.com
could be useful for something like flstudio.photography
as with anything, though, it's not worth anything unless you do everything else necessary to make the business work. the domain is important, but it's not the only thing necessary to making a successful business. |
