Hello DP addicts!

I just wanted to know if Iphone pics are allowed for the challenges..
I was on the road picking up my daughter and I had the perfect photo op... however, all I had was my Iphone, go figure, it was too late to get my Nikon out..

Are Iphone pics allowed on the challenges? Just curious, if not I will keep the pic to myself LOLOL

Hey Julie,
From what I know they are allowed. I submitted iPhone pictures at least three times, and I'm still here :)
Good luck,
Beata

The ony requirement is that the camera records valid EXIF information. I think virtually all 'phones do, so that should not be an issue. I think folks would probably be surprised at just how many challenge entries are taken suing 'phones.

The key is that you have to use the native camera app, as that's the only source of valid originals taken by phone cameras for the challenges.

Manic what does that mean to have the native camera app?

This picture came from my camera that that was already on the phone and not through an app, I did however was able to take it HDR through my phone and edit it through my phone..
Hope this makes sense

NO, that's the danger point :-( Your "native app" is what produces a simple JPG original. All that "editing" in-phone is most likely altering the original file and invalidating the image. Please send us the file that came out of your phone and we can tell you if that's the case this time.
