I'm in a bit of a creative slump, haven't been doing much photography or cinema stuff. Too much real-life to deal with.

Yesterday I pushed myself to bring my camera with me (Along with my gym bag...not the best combination). I wanted to try out the Magic Lantern firmware for video on my Canon and see how I could handle the editing. Card wasn't fast enough to record anything more than 4 seconds (Shooting video in RAW). Still, got some shots, managed to get some creative juices flowing, and put this little piece together.

I'm still in a bit of a slump, gym bag only today...maybe tomorrow I'll try something new.

i enjoyed. specially the 00:16 lady reading, the 00:20 girl in traditional clothes, the 00:40 old gentleman and the departure from the station. the girl on 01:24 was very unhappy for some reasons :)

question: is ML such a huge difference? I don't do video, very very rarely, and my 6D does not excel

Yes, it makes a huge difference. Not just for video but photography as well. Built-in intervalometer saves you 100USD on the Canon external accessory for one. There's so much in ML. Being able to shoot RAW is a big deal in being able to pull shadows and highlights back. It's like working jpeg vs raw in photography. And it's all FREE with more updates to come. They even got an older Canon camera that had zero movie functions in it to record movies. Amazing team.

If you do video and shoot in RAW you'll need a super fast card. And 32GB card holds about 5 minutes of video.

The girl at 1:24 was confused. I was giving them a quiz and she didn't study properly so she was having a hard time.

I loved watching that, Jason! Not only because it was a good video ... but it told me some more about you.

Thanks for that!

So... you teach as your job?

Really cute children.

I watched it several times Jason with much curiosity. Remember when I asked you about Japan? We had to cancel the trip because we were in the middle of an unfinished apartment renovation. Otherwise, we would have been to Japan for the tzunami....i loved your video. Please post more.

I don't know how I missed these comments. Thank you!

Yes, I teach kids mostly. It's my own business where I go to their homes and teach groups. I teach college and business classes too, but 90% kids.
