Just shows how old I am. It's way too fast for me. But it is impressive.

makes me spit on any time lapse I've done. julie, if you want to get started in time lapse a good way to do it is get a GoPro. they have an automated time lapse function where you just choose the interval and let it go. you can see some time lapse i did in with my gopro hero2 in this short and somewhat painless music video of my last trip to maui:

I will have to look into a go pro, since I am getting a pentax I will have some $$ left over from it because I already have the lenses.. so it will be possible to get one :-))

Those are fun to see thanks for sharing, would love to see more time lapses too

I have one time-lapse from a few years ago -- this flower blooms (maybe) once a year, at night. Light is uneven because it is partly-lit by moonlight through a skylight with moving clouds; possibly the lighting has something to do with triggering the flowering event.

This is more than a time-lapse and the author is the most famous one in the world. This is a hyper-lapse since it involves different movements. Making a very good time-lapse is a very complicated matter. When I have done mine in September it's been the most viewed Italian time-lapse (now a couple of TL have more). Go Pro is the easiest way but sure not the best one in terms of quality. Shooting RAW allows you to make a super editing, while Go Pro jpeg files are not great stuff. Of course it can be a be great and easy way to try this technique.
