My high school senior daughter has a photo show on Saturday as part of her class. It's at a local bakery/cafe. Yay!

She thought she could get large prints faster than she's found, so has nothing printed. Boo!

Got any suggestions for where to get prints up to 16x20 in two days flat?

We live in northern Virginia, near Washington, DC. We can drive around the metro area to a shop.

If all else fails, we'll print 8x10s on our home printer.

Thanks!

You could try mpix.com

//www.mpix.com/about/Shipping.aspx

Barring that, you could open the phone book and call local camera shops and explain your situation. They may be able to rush a print job for you.

Costco, Office Depot or Staples?

Did anyone else have a hard time reading Jeffrey's post at a normal speed? I think because the title says, FAST, I subconsciously read it with great urgency.

I second Costco.

My local camera store has a professional printing setup and can turn prints like this around for me in a day or two if the need arises, which it has, a couple of times. I suggest you find a local canon- or nikon-authorized dealer; many of therm do excellent printing.

If all else fails, you can buy a Canon i9900... or whatever is current these days... and print them yourself.

I've done that.

Thanks, everyone!

I should've mentioned that she already looked at Costco and they take 3-5 days.

It also turns out that other options are much more expensive than Costco.

But it seems that at this point, a local shop is our best bet, or maybe buying our own printer.

Whcc white house custom color has free two day shipping and relatively inexpensive one day shipping.

Staples has an online service thats prints large good quality prints. I ordered on two occasion, each time selecting the regular, non expedited service, thinking they would call me in a few days. Each time I got an email about 90 minutes after ordering telling me I could pick them up.

And there was a same day extra charge available, to be certain.

Is that for mail-order or in-store pickup? I've always gotten enlargements in 2-24 (maybe 48) hours except during the holiday rush when I'm picking them up at the store.

I think mpix can get it to you, too - if you order tonight, it will be in the system by close of business tomorrow. They ship priority, if I'm not mistaken. And I also think they have a big site wide sale going on right now that will pretty much take care of your shipping. IOW the %off should more than equal your postage. They will put all your prints in one box and charge you one fee, probably under $10. They ship from Kansas if that helps.

Your Costco is broken! lol I could swear I got mine, of that size, same-day a couple years ago.

Probably depends on the type of print. When I get stretched canvas there it takes 3-5 days

FedEx Kinkos

I know the one by my house does this stuff onsite and if they're not busy...you can get it in minutes.

Yeah, that makes sense for wrapped, but not for just a regular print on paper.
