I've seen some good photos that have a tilted horizon line. Done the right way, it can be quite powerful.

It'd be interesting to see a challenge where we're asked to eschew conventions and come out with a tilted photo.

Basic or advanced ruleset, but with provision that the use of rotate is not allowed; otherwise people will just tilt in post which skips past the real challenge.

We almost never use basic anymore, it's pretty much meaningless with the latest tools. What we DO have is "Minimal Editing", where you can't do ANY processing except rotate in 90-degree increments, basic sharpening, and grayscale conversion to B/W. Here are the Minimal Editing rules.

Does that work for you?

I've been away for a while it appears... ;)

Minimal editing rules sounds spot on!
