I often use my publisher for personal photobooks. i have for a few years now. in the past i have gotten books in just over a week around the holidays. I submitted a book 2.5 weeks ago and so far it has yet to show up. I called yesterday and they haven't even printed it yet. Whats worse is they couldn't even tell me when they would get to it as they have a very large backlog of books to print.

hopefully this isn't a new trend for them.

If this is for a client of yours, I am sure it is putting you in a difficult spot. Especially if you promised a delivery date. How were they at resolving your query for a date of delivery? Did you feel brushed off or were they genuinely concerned and left you feeling they were doing something about it?

it for personal use or else i'd be a bit peeved. they did upgrade me to 2day shipping and refunded my shipping.

i told them i do order books for clients and i have never had a problems in the past and if his happens again, i'll be finding another vendor as they need to get their act together.

He did say that they are upgrading their system so that we will get daily emails on the stats of orders in a few weeks im not sure i need daily status updates, a truthful time estimate would suffice. when i placed the order they said 2-4 days for printing...

bummer that you're going through that. i used them for a couple years, but ended up going through some of the same pains you are experiencing. i bailed on them maybe 8 years ago and have been using blurb.com ever since without issue. sounds like mypub still has the pitiful customer service they had when i left them. hope you get your book soon.

i finally got my book, it turned out great, thankfully the quality didn't suffer. Took almost three weeks to get it. i'm going to order another book for my summer vacation, maybe i'll try out blurb, thanks.
