After much consideration, I decided to enter this year's Urban Photographer of the Year, which last year awarded me the America's region top honor. It's a lot of work, and with such a great finish last year, I was worried that I might not rate as well.

The winners were announced yesterday, and while I did not win the global or the America's top honors, they actually did something better: the selected TWO of my images from a field of 21,000 entries from 113 countries. I won the 15:00 Hour and was runner up on the 23:00 hour.

Thanks again to David Tremain for helping with the selection :)

I don't understand what a 15 hour winner is but I chuckled with delight when I saw the picture. I recognized it as yours before looking at the name. You have a way with pets that's for sure. Congratulations! Can we see also the ones that you submitted? The runner up?
