Here is a time lapse video of a 3000 square foot modular home going up. I shot this on Tuesday; the camera ran continuously at 20 second intervals from 09:25 to 18:21 with a break of less than 2 minutes between the two positions just before noon. Pretty much filled a 32GB card, even with quality set to MRAW. 1544 images in all.
Images were imported and processed in Lr 6.2, exported to JPEGs at 1920px wide, then converted to a 10 fps video in Ps. |

Very cool, Fritz. The clouds really cooperated with you on the shoot, and add a great element to the time lapse. I can see you are already enjoying the benefits of your new rig. :-) nicely done! |

Yes they did, didn't they? The morning was really drab, but the afternoon cooperated beautifully! I even had enough card space to shoot through sunset for a natural fade-out. I was impressed that the 6D shot all day on one battery, and still had plenty of juice at the end.
I have to say that the process for creating the video in Ps is now so easy that I was initially over-thinking it. Basically just File>Open, point at the first file in the series and check the box that tells Ps it is a series of images. Poof, they are on the timeline.
I definitely would not have wanted to do this on my old desktop, LOL!
