I just saw a link to this on Facebook and I don't recall seeing it posted here (the article is dated in February though).

As many of us know, our own cynthiann became one of the official Chicago (band) photographers recently...

Here's a blog article about her that one of the Chicago (member or staff) posted on Facebook. DPC even gets a nod. :)

Congratulations Cynthia!

(I'm a bit surprised this hasn't been posted here yet...sorry if I have just missed it...I did try to search and failed to find it.)

Cynthia DID post a thread about being asked to shoot for the band, and about her experiences in the first couple shoots... Here it is.

She seems to have been pretty busy since, haven't heard from her in a while...

Hah! Here's the intro to the blog post; "[I hear from a lot of people who have ambitions of being a rock photographer. Here’s the story of someone who made it happen courtesy of Susan Andrews. – AC]"

That's OUR Susan Andrews, better known to us as Snaffles :-)

I remember Cynthia posting about her success with photographs of the band and Susan writes up quite the great article! Good work! Go DPC!

What a great write-up, Susan!

I'm so proud of DPC for raising up a superstar photographer (again), Cynthia!

I remember your post, Cynthia... but Susan really did it well!

YaY for "our girls"!

Great write up of the power of DPC... not only do you learn great photography skills but it also pushes you out of your comfort zone and into new and different things. Congrats to Cynthia for taking the scary step out of the 9-5 box and also to Susan for documenting that journey.

Not 'til she's finished sugaring for the year, please :-)

Fanfastic write-up of such a good story. Well done ladies!

Thanks everyone for the nice words, but all I really did was just edit together what Cynthia had already written...and of course she supplied the pics :-)

Mostly I didn't post the piece once it was published, cause I'm so shy and modest....and I though Cynthia would do it herself but seems she's also shy and modest!

I've written a few guest blogs for international rock journalist, Alan Cross, and knew he'd love this story. And he did! And I wanted to help Cynthia out, and figured exposure on Alan's blog would be foolproof. Hopefully it has paid off, Badass! :-)

A nice story all the way around. It was nice to see a shout out to DPC.
