i recently upgraded my iPad to iOS 9.3.1.

i took a photo with my Nikon, converted it to a JPEG, transferred it via DropBox to the iPad, and edited it. i have done this thousands of times before.

but when i attempted to upload the image to DPC from my iPad, and it would allow me to select the image from my Photo gallery, but then returned an error

"An error occurred. File extension error"

i tried to place it in my Workshop and it gave the same error.

i also transferred the file via Dropbox to both my Windows desktop and another iPad running iOS 9.3.1. both gave the same error.

i looked at the file properties, and it says it is a JPEG file.

UPDATED: manually changing the extension to .jpg on my Windows machine or opening it in InfranView and re-saving it again as a JPEG file does work, which i think must be clearing out or otherwise correcting the EXIF or file info.

anyone else have this problem? anyone know of a fix to allow uploading from my iPad? very frustrating!

thanks,
-m

Just click where it's written "click here to access the classic uploader" it's just under watermark options in your workshop, then choose your file etc from there, it works.

I also just checked ... I took the file I changed the extension from .jpeg to .jpg on my Windows desktop (which uploads fine to DPC) and transferred it back to the iPad via DropBox... and it still gives the same error when i then try to upload it from iPad to DPC

Everything worked fine before I upgraded to iOS 9.3.1

if you running iOS 9.3.1 then it is likely an Apple problem.

Thanks for giving me a sanity check ;-)

JAGAR! You're a genius. Never used the classic uploader option before. it works in the challenge submission page, too.

THANKS!
