Does anyone know if there is some type of app (or is it even possible) to link my Samsung tablet to my 5D MK2? |

Sorry, Android develop exclusively for Nikon.
Go check on iTunes if you want Canon apps.
(*that's the way it works in my head at least*)
Honestly though, there should be something out there, but I don't know if it's 3rd party or native |

There definitely is one. I spotted a guy using it yesterday. Android. Mk2 I didn't ask him what it's called because I have an iphone. |

ok, Canon have "Canon Camera Connect" and "Eos Remote" apps in the Google Play store; neither one which list the 5D Mk 2
**Edit:**
"Canon DSLR Browser" from Bike-o-Net claim their app is 'currently tests with EOS 7D and the WFT-E5 transmitter - but should work with any Canon DSLR and transmitter capable of UPNP MediaServ Mode.

The 5D-MK2 has no WiFi, so connecting it to a phone is problematic. If you are only interested in transmitting photos to a phone, then I can recommend the EyeFi card. It is an SD card, so you will also need a CF adapter (I tried a 3rd party adapter, which worked erratically. The EyeFi branded adapter works well for me). |

You do need an otg adapter
Edit: I did try it on my 6D. It worked so i purchased the app. I do not use it that much as the 6d has built-in Wi-Fi

Yes thanks, I just saw that and I think I'm going to get that, I want to connect to my tablet for shooting and getting a better live view when recording video. |
