Hi All,

I currently own the NEC PA241W and a very happy with the image etc - but my word it puts out some heat.

I know it's also getting old in IT terms so I am wondering are there any Dells or any other make that now have the same spec as the old PA241W? But a lot cheaper than the original NEC price ?

I would compare but I don't get monitor specs

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks

Tony

The basic specifications, e.g. IPS panel, resolution, gamut, bit depth... should be readily achievable, and you may well be able to get higher resolution (2560x1440) for less. YOu can get a lot of monitor these days for not a lot of money, assuming you don't want/need to be on the bleeding edge.
I haven't done much monitor research in a couple years, so I'm not making any specific recommendations now; I may have some time do do a little checking later today. Can you tell us what price point you'd like to stay within? That would help to constrain choices. Also, are you looking for that specific resolution, or is higher resolution an option?

I have this one at home. It meets your specs and is a very nice monitor for a good price, but is also getting pretty long in the tooth, technology wise.

They gave me this one at work. It doesn't meet your requirements. It's too expensive, and probably won't fit on your desk. But oh. My. God. If the Asus breaks, damn the cost, I'm getting one of these babies for home.
