...yes, at long last I have decided to make the big skeery leap into the 21st century and get a frickin celphone. As a certain SC member can attest, I am a technopeasant in the truest terms and completely at sea when it comes to daunting stuff like texting.

So, trying to find a phone that's just got a swipe screen, maybe a cheesy little 2mp cam, and works as a phone. I'll probably just settle for a pay-as-you-go phone thing I don't need a smartphone. All I need is a stupidphone or better yet a stupid-proofphone. Preferably one with really clear instructions on how to use it cause I don't have time to waste figuring stuff out.

Oh yes I'm in Canada, so other Canuckistanians, your input is welcome...

I didn't know you could still get a new non-smart phone with a 2 mp camera without a time machine.

Welcome to the 21st century, Susan. Hope the transition goes smoothly.

May the force be with you, Susan.

I'm glad I got a cellphone many years ago.

I'm too old to learn to use one now.

One day a few years ago I got a package in the mail from my mother, which of course I innocently opened ... inside was a cell phone (of the "Star Trek communicator" style) ... supposedly you can text with it, and it has a horrible 1MP camera I've used for a few entries (perhaps appropriately for the recent "Junk" challenge) ... anyway good luck!

Be very careful they are addicting, my wife has used an iphone for years and she says she will live in a box under an overpass before she would give up her phone. You have been warned!

Hahahaha!

Maybe she and I will be "roommates" one day. Ha!

My hubby had to almost force me to get one... Now, he'd have to force me to give it up.

But... I refused to get a digital camera, too.

He ended up giving me one for CHRISTmas. I fell in love... and have never looked back.

Y'all will probably be horrified to know that I only updated to a "smart" phone in March. Prior to that I was carrying my trust ol' Mot razr v3c, since 2004! Suffice to say, I *did* know what I was missing(I just hated the thought of paying for a data plan, LOL) and I have not looked back. So, so much that modern 'phones can do.
Example: I drove a rental car back from Dayton, OH yesterday (6 hours on the road) and had music of my choice all the way, streamed to the car from the 'phone in my shirt pocket.

Living in Hong Kong where people save to get the latest gadgets and where I just changed my one year old Sony mobile phone with Samsung's flagship S7 the above conversation does not make any sense LOL

While sometimes I hate myself for starring a lot of time at a bloody screen I admit I love them...

Also in my defense they are part of modern life and work environment where you can not make it without one.

I love my phone. I'm not addicted to it. I swear. I actually go hours without looking at it. It makes soooo many things easier. But my favorite thing is play Words with Friends Mom. She lives in another country and our playing makes it feel like she's right there with me.
