Can I take an image and use this tutorial to create my tilt?
I found a tutorial but wasn't sure if this is what this challenge is talking about and if it was legal or not to do it??

Tilt shift tutorial

the challenge said "do" tilt shift during shooting and processing, so i assume doing it to a normal (non-lens baby lens) shot was totally acceptable... the tutorial seems to just be applying selective blur, which is legal under Standard Editing. SnapSeed also has a specific tilt-shift function, and there are likely many apps out there that do it, too.

That's pretty much it. The main thing I'd add to their instruction is to use saved selections and layers to preserve the ability to edit non-destructively.

I usually use the "reflected gradient" tool to create a mask which blurs both foreground and background. You want to find a scene with strong horizontal separation and as few elements as possible crossing the intended plane of focus (e.g. tall foreground tree, utility pole). It seems to me it is easier to achieve the effect when shooting from a high perspective -- here are a couple of my previous entries as examples:

Great thanks for the confirmation, I just did not want a DQ just because of the processing, I do not own a lens baby

Same here, thanks for asking this question, saw it could be done in post-editing.

Thank you for sharing. I was having a hard time trying to get the outside to blur as I don't have the lens baby lens. Very good tutorial.
