Perfect, that is what I do.
Previously I think I imported, but now I do what you do.
Now when you open the file on your hard drive what file type do you open it with?
I have been opening mine using Irfanview.
It opens the file as a JPEG.
Would there be a second level of compression loss? |

There will be no additional data loss until/unless you re-save again in JPEG format. As long as you save the opened file in PSD or TIFF format there will be only lossless compression. |

Paul,
When you save as TIFF do you discard layers?
It comes up as one of the options to reduce file size. |
