are we voting on the quality of the original art work or the quality of the capture of someone else's art?

this is rhetorical and im not entered in but i voted and got me thinking

I voted on the quality of the photograph and its fit for the challenge irrespective of the quality of the original graffiti. Another question that struck me when voting: is a mural graffiti or rather a commissioned piece of art?

well thats a whole other kettle of fish street art is a preferred term among the guys i know who some of whom are world renown, graffiti is more the tagging trend and a throw back to the old days of like Brooklyn in the 80's.

That is exactly how it should be!

Where is the point if we rate the graffiti itself, since it's an artwork from another person than the photographer.

I'd even go further and rate a photo that is more than merely a snapping of the graffiti higher because the photographer involved more thoughts and creativity
