Made some extra scratch from designing a new logo for our church (A PAYING design job!) …
So I matter-of factly decided to spend 30% of it on my first 2.8 zoom lens!

Honestly, I can't believe I never got one before this! LOL
Anyway, if DPC users show me anything, it's that it is a decent lens!

Should come in handy at our Indian Princess campout this weekend! =))

I remember those lenses, superb IQ and light too, as you can see, there have been many superstars use that lens to devastating effect so crack on old chap, let's see what ya got :)

Congrats, it's a great feeling.

I have the Canon version, and I've had mine forever. It was the first lens I bought after I got my first dslr. I still love it. And Indian Princesses! I was wondering if they were still around! My sister and I did that with our dad a looooong time ago...great memories!

Yes my daughters shot .22 rifles, wall-climbed, rode horses, and kayaked among other things last camping trip.
A really fantastic group that goes above and beyond what girl-scouts did - and with only dads!

We also did a Pinewood derby. Some people are floored that girls do this! WHY wouldn't they RIGHT! =))?

I ended up with this one
or at least a similar version...

Mostly because of the excellent shots and results of the photogs on DPC.
