Help...my X-T20 just started acting up giving me memory card errors on "most" of my current cards. That's what's weirdest:

I dug through all my cards...all the ones on the left give me a card error when inserted in the X-T20 but not in the X-T1 (or any other camera I own, like a Nikon D600).

All the cards on the right work in the X-T20 too. And of course I purchased my X-T20 -- June 16th, 2017. Just two days shy of one year old, the warranty (from Amazon).

Also, the online instructions say you must include the warranty card...I don't see one in the box that I kept...just a note that you can register online. Perhaps I took it out or sent it in, if there was one? i don't remember.

Thanks in advance for any help.

That's bizarre. I have no theory. But you own WAY too many memory cards LOL. I only have 2, myself... But I carry a laptop to download to...

I’m interested in getting an x-t20 myself, so started looking into this problem. There are clearly more card related problems with this camera. The only kind of solution that I could find was the suggestion to rename the cards / file naming system (on a X-T1: Set-up menu 2, under Save data set-up, choose Edit file name). Not sure this will do the trick, but the guy claims he never had this issue again.

A friend of mine had the same problem with Xt-2. He thought it was about the cards but in the end it was the camera

I just talked to Fuji service/support (which is based in NJ). Nice that after two or three menu selections, I got to a knowledgeable person...very nice.

1) He said it could be bad contact with a pin, or the buffer/board. But the error comes up as soon as I insert the card.

2) He said it shouldn't be a problem that it was basically 1 year old to the date. They aren't sticklers for the exact date. As long as I get it in by the end of June, it would be fine. And he said put his name down that he said he offered to "extend" the warranty.

3) I need to send it in with a card that works, and one that doesn't.

4) If there's water damage, or something other than warranty, it might be $240+taxes etc!

I ordered a couple more UHS-II cards yesterday (these have two sets of pins). If these work, I will also have the option to only use that type. Though as my picture shows, some of my oldest and crummiest UHS-I cards DO WORK, whereas many of the newer, nicer cards UHS-I don't.

I'll get those on Sunday, and if necessary, I'll mail it to Fuji on Monday.

I want it working for my trip to the Oregon coast and Crater Lake in about a month! I was thinking of only bringing the X-T20, but this experience reminds me never to travel with one body. (And I almost always have two bodies or at least a second camera like my FZ1000...but I was thinking I'd try to travel to Oregon lighter! Not now.)

PS. Kees...I love the X-T20, much more than the X-T1. I love the smaller size, the snappier performance, the touch screen, and the 24mp versus 16mp in the X-T1. I don't like where the cards go in though...with the battery. The X-T1 and Nikon way of putting them in a side compartment is much better. Losing the ISO dial from the X-T1 isn't a big deal...I just assigned ISO to a function button. We'll see if I still love Fuji after it comes back from service! I didn't buy the X-H1, which is a better, more pro camera due to the $1899 price. Heck, that's only $100 cheaper than the Sony A7III, which is full frame, has a better battery, and better eye detect focus. I was hoping some day Fuji would do a APS-C with IBIS and not as big as an SLR!

Here's hoping you don't get smoked out, LOL. Last August I could barely see the lake from the rim.

You remind me that my parents went to Crater Lake on their honeymoon!?!

Hope they can fix your camera quickly!

Camera's back and now accepts all cards. Hooray.

Fuji was great to work with, honored the warranty.

My only problem was that they mailed it back Fedex, but although it would have been in the 1-2 day delivery range, for whatever reason ($?) it was scheduled for delivery the following Thursday.

So the product was shipped to me Friday 6/29. Ordinarily, from NJ, I'd get a package shipped then Monday or Tuesday at the latest. It was sitting in the Fedex office on Monday, and the status message online was something like, not yet scheduled for delivery. Wednesday was a holiday, but even it if weren't, it's clear they would not have delivered it then anyway.

I presume that's just because they had a low cost, 1 week delivery contract. Shame on Fedex though for not just delivering it and beating expectations.

Good to hear, already was wondering whether it was fixed or not. This kind of problems should be dealt with no matter if there warranty.
