So I'm in Minnesota for a funeral, and realized I didnt think of freestudy. I have two shots in my workshop, so at least i could enter something, but I can't upload from my workshop because it's larger than 700kb. I don't have a way of resizing. Any ideas?

I thought the site automatically resized, or does that not work on a workshop-based entry? I've never tried entering something from my workshop...

ETA: Damn typos!

You can send them to me and I can resize them for you!

50 x 50 should be about right! =P

There is an excellent iPhone/iPad app called “Image Size”. If you can get your photo onto your phone you, could use that.

haha! They're pretty lousy shots, so 50x50 should do just fine!

Actually, if someone could resize two, I'd give the workshop link. That would work great!

(and regular uploads do resize, but copying from the workshop doesn't seem to... Hmmm... maybe if I download from the workshop and then upload regularly... off to try that.)

I can't resize either. I just need to bring it down about 25 pounds or so.

I don’t know. Check the Google Store. I found the one for iPhone, by searching the App Store for “resize photo”.

I use an Android app called (ready?) ... Photo & Picture Resizer! Works like a charm.

ETA: you can define a custom size (1200 x ?) and it will resize accordingly. I emailed one to myself and it was only 121Kb. The app only tells you how much you saved (e.g., 4.5 Mb, 94%), so you could do the math to figure it out ;-)

Can I resize in Lightroom?

I sometimes use Photoshop Express to edit photos on my Android phone. It's got lots of effects in addition to the basic contrast adjustments, and even corrects distortion. And it does resize photos too. Not that I bother because when I upload from my phone DPC resizes automatically.

Elements was buried on the computer, so it got done. It's a lousy photo, so I'll regret bothering when voting starts. :)
