Here's something I found interesting...
Let's take a look at the Free Study views after voting.
The well deserved first place by Imagineer has 3732 views since voting ended, and 491 during voting. Thats normal... But take a look at the third page.
21st place to 23rd all have around 100 views since voting ended right now, but look...
24th has 474!!!
How is this possible?
...
24th place has a naked lady in it. :-)
Sex sells man.
But oh- don't get me wrong, it's a great picture... And I know it just doesn't take a naked model to do well in a challenge... Isn't it just an interesting statistic? :-)

Apparently you didn't read the fine print when you signed up for DPC.
"All males are to make encouraging remarks on how female nudes can be improved, and encourage them to work at it & submit more for us to comment on further. Under no circumstances give the impression that there is anything other than artistic interest or the whole sham may be blown and we'll have no nudes to look at!" |

Butt crack, even female butt crack (and that is a very nice female butt crack), don't count as nude...

| Haha!!! This was my final attempt at a nude self-portrait =) I wanted to try out techniques & poses with myself before I work with others. I'm actually a very conservative person =) I just hope none of my customers stumble across this site!!! Yikes! |

On a serious note... Did you get a rush when you hit the submit button? I got very light headed when I entered this one...

Yes! And I kept hitting the update button every minute of every day... at least it felt that way =) I didn't get the 1 and 2s until around the last 10 minutes of the competition. I just couldn't wait for it to end. I'm just glad that I ranked in the top 5% so it made all of it worth it.
My original submission was going to be of a horse... but then when at 9pm I noticed there were already over 400 entries I knew it would get lost in the shuffle. So I worked despirately on this photo with my ex-boyfriend... I told him I wanted to be covered more... but that's what I get for having a man assist me =)
I am very happy with how it turned out... looks old-fashioned and has a classic feel. |
