With the move to the new site coming up in the near future, we'd like to bring on board two or so new Site Council members (aka moderators). We're looking for users who really love the site, enjoy helping people in the forums, and would like to be a part of making the site better. If you're interested, please send us an e-mail letting us know why you'd like to be a part of the team.

I've thought for a long time that hbunch would make a wonderful moderator!

Yes. Heather would be a worthy applicant.
I second that.

It would be great to have input from the younger set, and so I would be happy to see konador as a site moderator. This young man has shown great enthusiasm for the site, articulate postings in the forums, and unusually good sense and manners (unlike some so-called adults!). Not to mention the fact that he has a very good photographer's eye. His name is Ben Roberts, he's 15, and lives in England.

I definitely agree that konador would be great. He shows a high level of maturity and insight, (more than some of the adults on the site!), as well as being a fine photographer.

Konador would be awesome! :)

Anyone who wakes up early to get on here before school and then gets on as soon as he gets home from school must qualify as a fanatic ;oP He also has a really good pic in this challenge, and it isn't fire!!

Yes.. I agree as well.. I didn't know Ben was 15 until recently when I read his profile. He is mature for his age... A worthy moderator.

Hey! That would be really cool! What kind of things does one have to do to be a moderator? I have nothing but time on my hands, and I'd love to participate. Is there something I could read to understand the responsibilities of being a moderator?
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!! I am so flattered you would trust me for that. By the way, I think my flu is going away! :)
Let me know, and I'll type up my "resume".

You have to read Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" and report back to Drew with your synopsis by Friday... ;)

By the way, I also think that Konador would be an awesome coice! Ok, I'm going to make some garbage comments. I mean, comments on garbage. I mean, non garbage comments, of photos of garbage. Yeah, that's it.

Piece O' cake. . .

I think we need stiffer requirements for the moderators like:

1) End world hunger. . .
2) Develope a cure for cancer. . .
and the toughest of all. . .
3) Get everybody on this site to REALLY listen to the other side

<grin> 10 seconds </grin>

Yeah, I think I could handle that. :) I put in my word to the team too. Konador, I'd really like to see that word Moderator under your name too. You put in a lot of hard work here, and it is really appreciated. Thanks.

Can't we just rent the movie?

10/09/2002 05:11:42 PM · #17
Or the DVD so we can get the Director's Cut?

First, thank you to everyone who applied.

We had a ridiculously hard time selecting the new additions to our team, but based our decisions heavily on site participation and site experience.

Congratulations to Konador, hbunch7817, Karen Bryan, and timj351, our new moderators. You'll see their pretty taglines in the forums shortly :)

Thanks again,
Drew
