Sorry if this has already been suggested. Under the "Avg Vote Received:" statistic on the user profile, it would be great to show the average score for, say, their last 5 (or 10?) challenges. Because people tend to improve after using this site for a while, this number might be more meaningful than the total average.

There also could be a "Who's Hot" section in the Community area that lists the photographers with the highest scores in their past 5 (or whatever #) challenges or over the past 2 months (or whatever time period). This would be fun to look at, and it might encourage people to improve or participate more.

After seeing that this photo scored over 6.8 as the first nude listed in the galleries, it became painfulyy apparent that DPC changes. This photo would probably score in the low 4's or lower today.

So, I think your suggestion is quite useful.

heh...or we can have a "Who's Hot" section for the best looking photographers. I vote Toyan...or "the big cheese"! :)

Seriously: I do like the idea of giving people room for improvement.

I think you have a wonderful idea! Hopefully it gets implemented.

I like it, but it would have to be a rolling average of active participants. Otherwise, someone might just sit on a high average rather than risk entering a bad shot. Maybe something like the WPL tournament... an average of each person's top 4 scores over the past 4 weeks? I can only imagine what that would do to the challenge rollover times, though...

I think the Who's Not is hotter... just my normal purely heterosexual opinion though ;-)

Gary has a crazy 7.01 average over his last 5 entries. I'm tugging at his ankles with a 6.85. I bet Qart is up there too, except I'm too lazy to look.

This stat would be really great to have (some rolling average) for seeding tourneys and such.

He's not far from that over his last 77 entries... :-0

hmm.. when I first read this, I thought maybe you were thinking of posting how much improvement scorewise someone has made. and whoever had the biggest improvement would be on top. (say a 4.0 to a 5.5 would win over a 5.5 to a 5.8) and if you sat on your score, then it would say 0 improvement from last month to this month. idk...
