This is not really an outtake, just wanted to show a bigger area of the scene. The large building in back was a hospital, it's now a Palliative Care Unit, Adult Rehabilitation and Veteran's Care Centre. It's not a new building, as far as I can find it was built sometime between the late 40's and early 60's. The house in front was probably built in the late 1800's.

My entry, zooming in made the large building look bigger and more overpowering:

I have to say I'm very happy with how my entry did. Not quite a ribbon, but top 10 nonetheless.

This was actually part of a maternity series I did over two days. I'm trying to focus on maternity photography and a friend of mine was kind enough to pose for shots I can use in a portfolio. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Thanks Cindi... these are the images I was referring to in the portrait thread. I just couldn't post them until today (for obvious reasons).

Wow all those shots are fantastic (though each one with the guy in them doesn't work as well for some reason).

Karen I like the bigger version (the uncropped), and I think it still says progress, even without being so zoomed in.

The sky is a bit flat, and could probably be brought up a notch or two, but I really like it. The parking lot, and the mountains speak volumes of progress, to me anyway. Love it.

Hehehe yeah, he was NOT happy about being in them... his wife made him do it. Not much I could do about making him look more relaxed though. You should see the not-so-good ones!
