Let's do a sunset challenge sometime... It seems that EVERY challenge has sunset photos worked into it somewhere. People seem to enjoy photographing sunsets.
Should this challenge idea be accepted, make it a longer term challenge. Alert the photographers that this challenge will take place in August or September and allow a decent time frame to make the shots. A one week notice on a sunset challenge could be difficult if the weather doesn't cooperate....

Sunsets are okay, but how about a real challenge like "Sunsets and Kittens", or "Sunset Pics of my Kids"? {g}

That would be extremely tough to vote on, most of the sunsets I have seen here have been well done. I usually hate my own work, but I think even I have taken some nice sunset photos.

Would you really like everyone who enters to come around to your house and photograph your kids ? wouldn't they get bored ? How do you plan on getting the 100 or so entrants a chance at your kids in the at most 7 sunsets available ?
Think you need to think this through if you want us all to visit you ! :) |

Damn, Gordon. You caught me. I was hoping to be the only entrant, and de-facto winner of the competition thanks to my wholy inaccessable location. And I'd have got away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids.

what a bout photographers in the far north where they have no sunset for 6 months of the year? This wouldn't be very fair now would it? |

If I find you on my doorstep, the cold noodles and Kung Pao chicken are on me. Could you possibly bring over a bottle of Johnson's Baby Wash in lavender for the Sprout? Can't get it here. {g}
